A Season for Gratitude
As I enter into the holiday season, I'm using this time to reflect on how grateful I am for my family, friends and customers. Without constant emotional and financial support from you, my business would not exist. I am floored that as 2019 appears around the corner, I am entering into my 15th year as an independent designer and maker. I love to create new things, figure out new ways to recycled old objects and spend time supporting other artists. My ability to continue to do this is directly tied to you and I appreciate you, thoughtfully and specifically.
This year, I was fortunate enough to also be a recipient of a CERF+ Artist Preparation Grant. These grants help artists safeguard their studio, protect their career and prepare for emergencies. As some of you know, a few years ago my entire product inventory was stolen. I was able to rebuild, but with the help of my CERF+ grant, I am able to safeguard my inventory by purchasing some security items to help prevent another theft that might end my career. My gratitude today extends to those who support CERF+ and who allow other artists to continue to pursue their passion, too.
